Moving a VM with Hyper-V

Just for my reference, here’s the process (Server 2008);

• Shutdown VM.
• Export to new location.
• Import that VHD.
• Choose Copy VM (so you get a new ID if you haven’t deleted the old VM – think Safe option)
• Don’t forget to change the old VM settings so that it doesn’t start up automatically!
